Ms. Laurie Salame, J.D. | Faculty Advisor
Laurie Salame, J.D. is a senior lecturer in the Isenberg School of Management, Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she has been since 2001. Her classes currently include Introduction to Hospitality & Tourism Management, Hospitality Law, and Gaming and Social Policy. Ms. Salame worked in the hotel industry for 12 years in Hartford, San Juan, Las Vegas, San Diego, Snowmass, and Miami, concentrating in rooms management and operations for companies such as Intercontinental Hotel Group and Hilton Hotels and Resorts. She earned her B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, where she was editor of the law review. Before joining UMass Laurie was an attorney at Community Legal Aid (formerly Western Massachusetts Legal Services).
